It is a street fight. The weapons in the arsenal are potent words that stab the heart so that mindsets are recalibrated. It is Battle of Words (BOW). BOW is an event put together by the All Talented Christians (ATC) Club, Zaria branch.
According to the president of the Zaria branch, Angela Umoru, the event is basically a rap, poetry and spoken word concert with just the right sprinkling of dance and other side attractions. It is aimed at capturing the power of words, in whatever form and creating a platform for creative minds to find expression. The event will equally feature the Von Pablo literary contest, so all ye poets, bring on your A-game.
You think it can’t get any better? Here’s the icing on the cake: BOW is only the grand finale of a week long programme tagged ATC Club week. The week will feature zebra crossing, conquering Kufena rock, visiting an orphanage, street jamz, dance flashes, sporting events and lots more.
The week is scheduled for February 12th- 19th 2017 and will be taking place in the heart of Zaria. Watch this space for more info folks…
